This XMas-adjacent SVH3 will be Fiestivus for the West of Us #2, hared by Ramrod! Chop will be out-of-town for this one, so expect more margaritas and less tacos (we'll see if we can't get some kinda tacos going regardless). Fiestivus is one of our favorite trails in Houston each year, and we miss it so much, we're bringing it's spirit to the west coast!
START
Pueblo Day Use Area, Santa Teresa County Park
TIME
1:00 PM Start
1:30 Pack Away!
LENGTH
Turkey: 4.25 miles
Eagle: 6.25 miles
Expect to do a bit more if you're scouting. There should be a bail-out point at the beer check for a ~3.5 mile Super-Turkey trail.
1 Cerveza Proximo, shared by both Eagle/Turkey!
Park is dog friendly
Expect a decent (but not crazy) amount of hills. Hills are on both the Eagle and Turkey, but even more on the Eagle. It will be cool (~60 degrees). Good for trail running, but bring warm clothes for the end!
Mud is possible; we've had a bit of rain this week, and it was muddy last week. Bring shoes with good traction and possibly a sock/shoe change for the end.
Start is at largest parking lot in the far back of the Pueblo Day Use Area.
