Since it's almost Winter Solstice and the days are shorter, the meeting time is NOON, not 1pm. Don't be late!
Weather forecast is iffy for Sunday and showers are possible, but you never know. So I've decided to set the trail from the end of Dwight Way in Berkeley (intersection with Hillside) near UC Berkeley because there are plenty of trail options that work rain or shine, and tree cover if it happens to rain. And if the sun shines, this place stays sunny longer than most and has great views of the bay.
