Sunday, July 24, 2011, 1:00 pm
: Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area - Richmond
: Ball Wrinkle
:
East Bay 3-Way Hash - We will be running through three different East Bay
Park jurisdictions and some private land (I think) There will be some nice
views of the hills of El Sobrante, San Pablo Reservoir, and the hills to
the East. Unlike a Cincinnati 3-way, there will be no chili, cheese, or
spaghetti on trail. Sorry.

Start: Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area

GPS coordinates: 37.946770, -122.265939 Directions: For those with GPS see
coordinates above or input 7000 San Pablo Dam Road, Richmond, CA into your
GPS

Directions: Choose your favorite way to get to CA-24 East. Follow CA-24
through the tunnel, and take Exit 9 (Orinda Moraga) head north on Camino Pablo, which later become San Pablo Dam Road.

Continue for 7 mi and turn Right into Kennedy Grove.

From Marin: Come across the Richmond Bridge and get on I-80 East. Go ~2
mi, and exit on San Pablo Dam Rd. Continue for 4.5 mi, and turn Left into
Kennedy Grove.

Plenty of Parking with a $5/car fee. If you want to save $5 on parking you
may find parking on Hillside Dr. (6502 Hillside Dr, El Sobrante) Which can
be accessed from Castro Ranch Rd. There is a pedestrian entrance at the
South end of Hillside Dr. It's a very short walk to the parking lot. I
don't know what the neighborhood parking rules are. Check for no parking
signs just in case.

The trail is dog friendly (on a leash, and be prepared to cross a few gates
with your pooch. Trail is not stroller-friendly. There are stroller
friendly trails around the edge of the large grassy lawn area.
