Julianna Avenue is a one-block street just off of Highway 1 in Moss Beach. Get there by turning west on Valleman Street (left, if driving north on Highway 1 from Half Moon Bay, right if driving south on Highway 1 from Pacifica). Vallemar, quickly bends right and Julianna is then the first intersection on the left. The start of the trail will then be 100 yards in front of you, where Julianna ends at its intersection with Wienke Way.
:
Come hash on the Coastside! There will be:
- Sandy, sunny beaches
- Randy sons o' be-atches
- The ice-cold Pacific
- The ice-cold Pacificos
- Point breaks
- Joint aches (esp after that one obligatory enormously steep uphill for visiting SFH3-ers)
- Gentle sea breezes
- Lethal Seabreezes (Cocktail Check)
- Giant clams and salty seamen
Turkey trail will be just under 5 miles and fairly flat. Eagles get the aforementioned enormous uphill plus a hilly loop trail that adds another mile or so, with stretches of running on sand for both. There will be 4 crossings of a state highway with good sightlines but speeding cars (yeah, I know, butt it has to be that way) and dogs are required to be on leashes for two good chunks of the trail, so make your call on bringing Fido (and strollers) wisely. We know all too well that it's a haul to get here for most hashers and will host an on on on where we'll feed you and keep the drinks flowing on our dime, with time to stroll over and check out the nearby tidepools and harbor seal overview. Be prepared for any kind of weather!
