Important Note: There are multiple entrances to the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline. You should ONLY follow directions to the Nejedly Staging Area and NOT other park entrances. There are major road closures between park entrances, so always input/start with Nejedly Staging Area.

Enjoy the beautiful late spring weather along the breezy bay shoreline at Carquinez Strait Regional Park - Nejedly Staging Area near downtown Martinez, CA! Baseball Legend Joe Di Maggio grew up here and we'll be passing by his family's cemetery. Gorgeous Bay Views from most of the trail.

We'll also be enjoying the shady oak woodlands and other open spaces overlooking 2 bridges between the east bay and northern counties along the Carquinez Strait. Views should be spectacular. Good weather expected. Expect lots of hills, woodlands, cows and open spaces. Some overgrown single track trails may have P.O. on the sides. We have Technu available.

On-After: There are BBQ's at the start/finish if you want to bring your own fuel and grub. Otherwise, we suggest the Creek Monkey Ale House nearby in downtown Martinez.
